In response to Women Against Feminism ( http://womenagainstfeminism.tumblr.com )

We need feminism because:

1. Patriarchy is not a fiction: ask to your grandmas or to any sociologist;
2. Feminism is not the 'irrational fear of men', the discrimination of men as men, or the denial of femininity, it is standing up for our rights as human beings;
3. Today women do not earn as much as men or as much as their potentialities, just because they have a vagina;
4. Women should have the same career opportunities, from politics to academia. However, they do not and not because of their incapacities. Is that right?!;
5. It is not equal a world where women's success is usually associated with their physical appearance and their skill 'to corrupt bosses with sex', thereby creating stereotypes and suspicious minds;
6. It is different being appreciated as a pretty girl and being bothered in the streets just because of the way of dressing or just because you are female. Maybe people who wrote this point have forgotten the difference...; 
7. Girls should walk alone, at night, in any condition, without the fear of sexual harassment or rape. This thread is not a myth, just read the newspaper;
8. Women are full of qualities even without being married or engaged with men. On the contrary, single women are treated as losers;
9. Lesbian women should have the same rights of any eterosexual woman; 
10. There is a huge ignorance or, worse, stereotypical ideas on what feminism is, hence the idea of blogs like 'women against feminism'.
