Her Morning Elegance

Her Morning Elegance è una canzone del cantautore, scrittore e direttore teatrale israeliano Oren Lavie (1976). Il video musicale di questo brano ha vinto, nel 2009, il Grammy Awards nella categoria del 'Best Short Form Music Video'. La particolarità di questo video è che è stato realizzato attraverso la tecnica dello stop motion (detta anche stop frame), che consiste nel creare l'illusione del movimento in una serie continua di foto di un oggetto o un soggetto messo in movimento. L'illusione che le foto stesse creino movimento è data dal lavoro di decostruzione di ogni singola azione. Secondo wikipedia, la prima animazione stopmotion fu realizzata per la prima volta nel 1897: 

Stop motion animation has a long history in film. It was often used to show objects moving as if by magic. The first instance of the stop motion technique can be credited to Albert E. Smith and J. Stuart Blackton for Vitagraph's The Humpty Dumpty Circus (1897), in which a toy circus of acrobats and animals comes to life.^[3]

La bellezza di questo video è data dal fatto che presenta azioni abituali ed azioni straordinarie nella ciclicità dell'azione automatica dello svegliarsi alla mattina. Lo stesso testo ha come poetica l'orizzonte vago e pieno di potenzialità che ogni singolo giorno offre a chi si sveglia.

E' interessante vedere come i singoli individui interpretino diversamente questo video e gli diano nuovi significati. Le immagini di questo post sono state prese dalla pagina facebook della galleria (una delle poche cose che rimpiango di facebook) e ho cercato di metterle in sequenza ed unirle con le parole.
